Okay. I'm trying to clear some of my backlog out. I read this ages ago, and it was interesting. It's more focused on things you can do with a talent for writing that aren't in the "starving artist and beyond" vein, but it's very clear, easy to understand, and up-to-date in terms of trends and resources. It's a little scary, if you're actually thinking of trying to make a living using your words, because he is particularly up-front about the fact that you are unlikely to become even moderately well-off by doing so, but it's not actually discouraging, if such a thing is possible. I don't have much to say; this book is a tool, in that it's useful if it fits in with your purpose, but unlike some of the other writing and career books I have read/am reading, it's not something that I'd suggest you pick up just for giggles.
